This is - the one day of the year, when members of our council, together with members of their families, gather as a body, to attend <the Holy Sacrifice and receive Holy Communion. This Holy Tear, more than ever before, there are many reasons why everyone of us should join together on this day, and offer our combined prayers and sacrifice to Almighty God. First: What a fitting tribute to our departed brothers. What a wonderful way to show how grateful we are for their past leadership which has guided our order these many years. Second: It is the Holy Tear, and the golden anniversary of the ordination to the priesthood of our Holy Father, Pope PiuS XII. Third: The priests and religious in foreign countries, who are being tortured, persecuted and publicly disgraced by those who would destroy Catholicity and Christianity are in urgent need of our prayers.
