A The radiant bride, given in ma,rftage by her father, chose a white •atin gown, lace trimmed, and long. Her short veil, also trimmed' With lace, was held by a seed pearl tiara and she wore as her only Jewelry a rhinestone choker, a •ft of the bridegroom. Her bou- •et consisted of large and small l)Rms. * Acting as matron of honor was ^rs. Stella Vogt, sister of the le, who was attired in a green dress. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Dowell of McHenry, the groom's sister', and Mrs. Helen O'Leary of Woodstock, a friend. They were attired in gowns of gold satin, styled similar to that of the bride. All wore rhinestone chokers, gilts of the bride, and had headpieces of mums. They carried bouquets of colored mums. Little Msrte Justen, niece of the bride, was the charming flower girl, wearing a pink ruffled gown |Utd headpiece of white mums. She tore a gold locket, a gift of the bride, and carried a small bouquet kif white mums. Serving as best man was Harold Donovan of Woodstock, a friend, groomsmen were Robert Gaylord of Woodstock, the groom's brother, and ".Bud** Thennes, brother of the bride. The ushers Were Leonard Thennes of McHenry and Harold Gaylord of Marengo, brothers of the bride and groom respectively. Mm. Griswold, a former McHenry resident who died Nov. 1 at his home in Woodstock. Rev. Jesse Firestone officiated at last rites, followed by burial in Memorial Park cemetery. Mr. Griswold, 71 years old, was a native of Ringwood. where he was born Nov. 29, 1S79. He resided on Fourth street in McHenry for a few years before moving to Woodstock in 1929. Death came after four months of poor health. * Surviving besides the widow. Mary Ella; are five children, Leslie Frank of Woodstock, Marilyn Wilcox of Sparta.
