The following Special Report of the Road and Bridge Committee was presented and read to the Board, towit: Mr. Chairman and Gentlemen of the Board of Supervisors, McHenry Cdunty, Illinois: Your Committee to whom was referred the matter of the construction of a new bridge at the Barnard's Mill Bridge over the Nippersink Creek In Section 6, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, beg leave to submit the following report on the matters before them. That we met at the Court House at Woodstock, Illinois on the 8th day of July, 1950, to consider a recommendation of the State Bridge Engineer that a new three (3) span continuous beam bridge of 98 root span and a 2 foot width sidewalk on each side be built subject to the approval of the State Division of waterways. We discussed the matter and concluded that if the new bridge did not carry extreme high water there would be little damage as the road to the east of the bridge is paved and the grade need not be raised. We decided to accept the above recommendation and Instructed the County Superintendent of Highways to so notify the State Bridge Engineer. subject to the approval of this Board. Witnesseth That: Whereas, the drainage of said pond would benefit Arthur F. States, a landowner on the south side thereof, and Martin A. Heins, a landowner on the north side thereof, and also the County Highway known as the Huntlev-Algonquin Road, and Whereas, it has been proposed to drain said pond to the Northeast to a slough on the land of Alexander S. Reed a distance of approximately 1700 feet through a tile the sixe of which is to be 8 inches in diameter. Now, Therefore. Be It Agreed by and between all the parties hereto in consideration of certain sums to be paid hereinafter set forth and in consideration of* the landownera herein signing the official right-ofway plats dedicating lands necessary, for a 70 foot width of right-of-way as shown on said plats and in consideration of amounts paid to said landowners as fence damage and land damage and in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements herein set forth, the tuUd Arthur F. The minutes of the Special July Meeting 1950 were read by the Clerk and upon motion duly made and carried were approved and ordered of record. A Plat of White Oaks Bay. Unit Number 8 of McHenry Township, together with Plats of Welches Subdivision. first addition of Nunda Township, and Lake in the Hills Subdivision, unit Noi C, in Algonquin Township, properly certified, showing approval of the County Superintendent of Highways and the Zoning and Building Code Enforcing Officer were presented to the Board for approval. It was thereupon regularly moved by Supr. Filip and duly seconded by Supr. Schmitt that the plats be approved and the Chairman declared the motion unanimously carried.
