Description: This is located in Weingart, Subdivision across the river from Johnsburg near the mouth of the Fox River. This subdivision is one of those places where there are many non conforming uses. This boat house was formerly located on this easement about half way between its present location and the river and between two adjoining houses, both of which have now been improved. The adjoining owner in order to get the boat house moved from their windows, paid the cost of a seawall and the boat house was then moved to thr; line of the road between their garages. It is in violation because of its size and the narrow tract upon which it is located. Filip, of Algonquin Township, presented Chairman Nolan with a large wooden mallet in the form of a gavel together with a block of wood, to be used in calling the meetings to order and to restore order.' After much hilarity the Chairman thanked Supr. Filip for his thoughtfulness and stated that he would use. the gavel with care and moderation. The Official Bond of James Glen Stevens, County Treasurer, in the amount of $50,000 with the American Employers' Insurance Company as surety, together with Oath of Office, was presented and read to the Board. It was thereupon regularly nmved by Supr. Filip and duly seconded by Supr. Schmitt that the Bond and Oath of James Glen Stevens, County Treasurer, be approved by this Board, and that the,four year premium on said bond be ordered paid, and the roll being called the Chairman declared the motion unanimously carried and the Bond and Oath approved, and ordered the premium paid. County Treasurer Stevens, being present at the meeting, was sworn into office by the Cierk of the Board -and started on his official duties. The Bond and Oath of Office of Raymond I). Woods, County Clerk, with the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company as surety in the amount of $5,000 was presented and read to the Board. It was thereupon regularly moved by Asst. Suprs. Rosenthal and duly seconded by Supr. Slavin that the Bond and Oath »f the County Clerk be npproved by this Board, and the roll being called the Chairman declared the motion unanimously carried and the Bond and Oath approved. Supr. Sterne of Nunda Township addressed the Board and stated that he felt that the gavel that was presened to the Chairman by Supr. Filip would in time, due to its size, wear the Chairman down, and he would like to present another gavel to the Chairman, to be used in tfie ordinary business of the Board. He than presented to the Chairman a beautiful engraved mahogany gavel. The Chairman. Supr. Nolan, thanked Supr. Sterne for the new gavel and stated that he would keep it in his possession at all times and turn It over to his successor in office. The Bond of Jaines Glen Stevens County Collector of Taxes for the tax year 1950, taxes to be collected in 1961, ib the amount of $75,000 with the Aetna Casualty and Surety Coinpany as surety, together with the Oath of Office of said Collector, was presented and read to the Board. It was thereupon regularly moved by Supr. Sterne and duly seconded by Asst. Supr. McConnell that the Bond and Oath be approved by this Board and that the premium on said Bond in the amount of $750 be paid when a proper claim for said premium is filed with the County Clerk, and the roll being called.
