Mr. Eden has been officially notified that he has been chosen an honor member of Sigma Alpha Eta, an organization compromised of college or university students and graduates interested in speech correction and the education of acoustically handicapped persont. To have achieved this outstanding rank, a member of Sigma Alpha Etfc must possess outstanding qualifications and must be approved by the unanimous vote of the organisation with the consent of the advisors. Any key member of high personal and professional qualifications who has demonstrated his leadership in Sigma Alpha Eta may be chosen for honor membership upon the fulfillment of certain qualifications. Included in the qualifications are dependability, patience, integrity, creative imagination, emotional stability and other personal attributes of an able speech correctionist. He must also have given evidence of genuine interest and enthusiasm in his clinical activities, a sense of responsibility toward the professional speech correction as well as an all college scholastic average of 2 or above.' Local Dentist Presented Clinic At Anntmj Meeting Dr. Irving c. stone, dentist for McHenry Medical Group, recently presented a clinic at the annual meeting of the state Dental association, held in Peoria. Dr. Stone's clinic concerned the problems of prevention and treatment of diseases of the gums. As a result of this presentation, he was! invited by the association to present a similar clinic at the annual meeting of the American Dental association, to be held in Washington, D. C. in October. Dr. Lee Gladstone, physician and surgeon of the Medical Group, recently had an article published in the Journal of the American Medical association.
