Sondes had the pleasure of entertaining Mrs. Sunde's sister, Sister Mary Englogia, SSND, of Milwaukee. Wis. The occasion was a family reunion for which special permission was given the nun, the first of its kind granted her In forty-nine years. She was entertained by each member of her family during the five-day visit. A Sunday dinner and later open house was given by Mrs. Rose Vycawcek, a cousin of the nuu, in her lovely Chicago home. The visit was high-lighted by the presence of Sister Englogia's eldest sister, Mrs. Pietszak, of Chicago. All in all, the reunion was a huge success. The residents of Lilymoor donned their best "bibs and tuckers" Saturday evening June 30, to attend a simple but impressive ceremony at Club Lilymoor, at which Mrs. John Milinac was installed as president of the Lilymoor Property Owners association. Mrs. John Milinac acted as chairman of the occasion, and served a buffet supper to the sixty members who were present. Charles Rogers acted as installing officer and with proper dignity administered the oath to the following officers: president, Mrs. Milinac; firBt vice-president, Fred Svoboda; second vice-president, Fred Kacmel; secretary, Mrs. Lee Bassi; treasurer, Victor F. Bassi. board of directors. Herb Seifert, chairman; Mrs. Ann Seifert, Mrs. Martha Sunde and Mrs. Florence Svoboda. Mrs. Roy Tohey, one of our talented members, sang several songs appropriate to the occasion and lead the members in community singing. It was a memorable evening for many of those present, who have attended nine other suoh events at Lilymoor in past years. The Lakeside Improvement association will meet Tuesday, at s p.m. at the Lannes Tower building. Mrs. Hyatt, son, Richard, and daughter, Gertrude, and Mrs.' Helen Povidis and hei' son "Butch" went to Holy Hill,' Wis., on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hyatt celebrated their seventh anniversary on June 30. Last Friday evening a baby shower was given Pat Golbeck by her friends of Lily Lake and Lilymoor. STATE HISTORIAN Dr. Harry E. Pratt, Springfield, has been appointed as Illinois state. historian by the trustees of the State Historical library, to succeed Jay Monaghan, who has accepted a fellowship at the Huntington Library, San Marino. Last year's best attendance was eighty-five and this year it was 108, with an average of ninety for the ten days* Total enrollment was 143.
