Their beautiful home #>« long been a conversation piece in Lily Lake and the host ' and hostess were models of gracious hospitality. Eunice served a buffet supper of numerous tempting dishes while Roy, assisted by several of his male friends cooked "ribs" and hamburgers on the outdoor fireplace. After dinner the guests assembled in the house to join in group singing and listen to Eunice sing and play her »4 < *Uke". Marie and Vasilia Souteos each played several piano selections, and Wayne Tobey helped entertain the guests with several numbers on his accordian. The guests from Chicago who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gallet and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tobey and their two sons. Everyone had a very memorably , evening. £ Mrs. Charles Qohl was a very busy hostesB this past week. Last Wednesday she entertained several friends at a lovely luncheon and card party. Her guests included Mrs. * John Milinac, Mrs. Charles Huecksteadt and M«. Henry Wojtas. Saturday, Sept 15 she held a party in honor of her daughter Cheryl's nlneth birthday. Seven little folk were present *to 'join in the games and make the' Uparty a merry one. Cheryl's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Brown, of Fox Lake, were there also to help celebrate the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Morrison have returned from their second honeymoon tour of the southern states. They were down as far as Memphis, Tenn., and they motored and stopped at many points of interest along the way. Mrs. Kraus will be hostess at a luncheon Wednesday, Sept. 26 at the Lannes Tower building. The proceeds will go to the Lake- 8 i d e Improvement association. The association is also having a card party and social, Thursday, Sept. 20, at 8 p.m. at Klines Tower building. Nancy Kurbyun and her fianee, Ronald Sells acted as chaparones for the evening. Mr. Philips talked to the boys about the woodworking projects they will begin Wednesday. The girls have already begun their home projects for the Xmas Bazaar. The by-laws were drawn up for the club, and it was voted to have the colors for the clnb, green and white. Dawn Kosup and Dolores Bell acted as entertainment chairmen in the absence of the appointed chairmen. The new chairmen for next week are: Clean-up, Eld Shumarker and Harry Ketchum; Refreshments, Dolores Bell and Marlene Erhardt; Entertainment, Donald Dixon and Elaine Todd. Un&er legislation passed by the 67th General Assembly, open water blinds more than 1&0 feet out from shoreline or the line of natural vegetation are prohibited. The purpose of the new rules, according to Leonard Schwartz, director of the department is to have Illinois sportsmen do their part in holding a fair share of migrating ducks and geese in Illinois waters. Open water blindb occupied by hunters prevent flying ducks from coming down to rest. Illinois' is to have a 45-day open season on ducks and geese this year, an increase of ten days over recent years, beginning Oct K. Daily limit on ducks remains at four, possession limit eight. Among children 1 .year of age, fire has become the leading cause of accidental death.
