McHENRY RESIDENT^ TOOK ADVANTAGE OF TONE IN DECEMBER Santa paid his annval visit to metropolitan city stores last Saturday; high school seniors spent hoyrs in preparing wintry decorations for their annual dance. "Winter Wonderland"; and everywhere were festive lights and beautifully decorated gift counters in preparation for the holiday season. As if in mockery, an unpredictable weatherman brought a bright sun and warm breezes which brought into evidence roller skates, golf clubs and tennis rackets. It was June in December in McHenry and in several other nearby communities. Local residents took advantage of it to catch up on Christmas shopping and to get that last bit of outdoor exercise before the advent of real fcM fashioned winter weather.
