MCHS CAGE TEAM BEATS LAKE GENEVA Little Warriors Continue Their Winning Ways By Juck Pepping Last Friday night the McHenry Warriors took on Lake Geneva on our home floor and beat them to the tune of 51-36. Coach Fulton's boys were running all the way as they played fine team ball. Stan Aim continued to show everyone a fine brand pf ball as he hit from both inside and out for 14 points. All the Warriors showed their stuff as the scoring was well divided, although this time it was big Ron Ford who led the barrage. Ron's jump shot was burning up the nets while his rebounding was "par excellence". The Warrior press seemed to confuse Huntley from the start as they played sloppy ball and threw the ball away on numerous occasions. Then, also, there was our fast break, which Huntley couldn't seem to stop. Arnie Petersen, who is about our trickiest wrestler, lost on a decision. Gil Mercure, who wretles in 138, made up for the loss and won on a decision. Now herp is where the trouble comes in. If you have never seen Zion's 145, 154 and 165 pounder, you have really missed something. These boys are really built, and they had experience. Cliff Walters lost by a pin; this is Cliff's first year at wrestling. Don Theil, our 154 pounder, won by a pin.
