The matron of honor was Mrs. Carl Milinac, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids were Richard Rosing and Miss Eleanor Edstrom of McHenry. Ail were attired similarly in waltz-length gowns of poinsettia red velveteen, with matching headpieces made by the bride's mother. They wore white shorty gloves, gifts of the bride, and carried cascade bouquets of white spider mums. Carl Milinac served as best man and groomsmen were James Frisch of Cary and James Higgens of Fox River Grove, friends of the groom. Ushers were Jack and James Patzke. Mrs. Patzke chose for her Newlyweds Will Live In Michigan Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Doherty are at home at Royal Oaks, Mich., after their McHenry wedding on Sept. 27 in St. Patrick's Catholic church. Mrt. Doherty is the former Patricia Briggs, daughter of the Lyle Briggs of Royal Oaks, and the bridegroom is the son of the William F. Dohertys of McHenry. Miss Rosemary Doherty acted as maid of honor for her new sister-in-law and Miss Dorothy Doherty of McHenry and Mrs. William Stowinski of Royal Oaks were bridesmaids. The maid of honor was attired in bronze velvet and the bridesmaids in green velvet. The pretty bride chose a white velvet gown and carried a bouquet of white mums. William Doherty served his mony, with 2(A) guests attending. Mrs. Weiler chose for her daughter's wedding a grey taffeta dress with nylon trim. The nuptial Mass was performed at 10 o'clock before an altar decorated with white glads and mums. > Miss Vander Mark* made a pretty bride, attired in an ice blue chantilly- lace dress over satin. Clarence Schaefer served his brother as best man and Alvln Schaefer, another brother, was groomsman. Mrs. Vander Mark chose for her daughter's wedding a blue lace dress, while Mrs. Schaefer wore a navy blue crepe dress. Both had orchid corsages. A turkey dinner, was served in the afternoon to fifty guests at Pochron's hall. In the evening a reception and buffet supper were enjoyed, attended by about 150 relatives and friends. The bride and groom left on * two weeks' trip to Canada. The new Mrs/ Schaefer graduated from St. Willibrord's high school and was employed by the Illinois Bell Telephone company of Chicago.
