Don't Be That v Hallowe'en Ghost If you don't want to wind up being a real ghost on Hallowe'en you'd better watch what you wear, Chas. M. Hayes, president of the Chicago Motor Club warned today. Playing ghost on Hallowe'en is safe, the club president pointed out, since a white sheet makes the wearer readily visible to motorists. On Hallowe'en drivers will be subjected to many distractions ; a* a ill Jrt.i Hayes pointed out. Because of this factor motorists v/ill not be as observent as they usually are. To compensate for distractions which will hamper motorists' driving ability on Hallowe'en, Hayes advised pedestriains to wear costumes which are made of light-colored material. In order to preserve the spirit of good, fun which everyone enjoys on Hallowe'en, Hayes underscored these rules to prevent traffic accidents; 1. Wea^ something white if you're walking on the streets. 2. Walk on the left side of roadways. 3. Don't make quick, erratic moves into a street where traffic is moving. 4. When walking on a pavement, step off the paved portion of the road when meeting an oncoming vehicle. 5. Cross at lighted intersections where possible.
