At same meeting, a resolution designating arterial roads under the motor fuel tax law was adopted. By filing this resolution with the state, some assistance will be giyen the village toward the cost of repairing rc$ds. The fire department of Wauconda called to the attention of the board that the number of calls to Island Lake for'putting out grass fires has been too great. A reminder \yas given at the meeting that it is x unlawful for anyone within the village to start a grass fire without first securing permission from the chief of police, yiolatiors of this law are subject to a heavy fine. LEAGUE OP WOMEN VOTERS TO CONDUCT LOCAL "WORK SHOP" The Wonder Lake 'League of Women Voters will conduct a "workshop" in local government, beginning Nov. 11, at the home of Mrs. Louis Belshaw, Wonder Lake, between 10:30 and noon. The first session of many will be held in Wonder Lake. In view of the fact that the Wonder £ake League is made up of members from McHenry, "Spring Grove and Lakemoor, other sessions will be held in the above mentioned communities.
