C WILDE, JR. A quiet but very lovely weddiifg ceremony was performed last Saturday afternoon, Jan. 17, at 2:30 o'clock in the rectory of St. Mary's church when Miss Theresa Bauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Bauer of McHenry, became the bride of Gustave C. Wilde, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave C. Wilde, Sr., of Emerald Park. The petite, blonde bride was charming in a gown of ballerina length, in satin and lace. The fitted bodice was of brocadedlace, with long tapered sleeves and the bouffant skirt was of net over satin. Her fingertip veil was . held in place by a pearl tiara and she carried a bouquet of white garza chrysanthemums with stephanotis streamers. Attending her sister as maid of honor was Miss Doris Bauer, who chose a purple ballerina gown of satin and tulle. The fitted bodice featured a halter neckline of tulle and tiny bolero jacket. The full skirt was of tulle, in handkerchief style, ^he wore a matching jfoke bonnet on her head and shoes of the same color. Mrs. Andrew Steinsdoerfer, a cousin ' of the bride, and Mrs. Paul Strauss, sister of the groom acted as bridesmaids. Their dresses and headpieces were of shocking pink, styled similarly to that' of the maid ot honor. The bouquets were also similar. George Spielmann, a friend of the groom, served as best man ind Roman Bauer, brother of the bride, and Duane Andreas, a friend of the groom, were ?rocmsmen. » The bride's mother chose -a black faille dress with pink trim and a pink carnation corsage, while the groom's mother wore a beige linen dress and a similar corsage. Following the nuptials, a reception was held at the American Legion Home, with a buffet supper served to 250 guests at 5 o'clock. The former Miss Bauer is a graduate of the McHenry high school and is employed in the office of Earl R. The attractive bride chose a grey wool suit and an orchid corsage. •' The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Hansen, sister and brother-in-law of the groopn. Another sister of the bridegroom, Mrs. C. A. Stevens, of Perrysburg, Ohio, also attended the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Horn of Rockford were out of town guests. A reception for relatives and friends followed the service. The newlyweds will reside in McHenry. Mrs. Boeker is employed at the Oaks in Crystal Lake and Mr. Boeker at Johnson Motors company in Waukegan. She is Miss Mary Jean Doherty, who graduated from the local school in 1948 and from Rosary college in 1952. After a four-month course, in secretarial training at Moser, she was offered her position at the school. She took her initial training in this field at the McHenry school. Miss Doherty told t the £irls about the school she represents and answered questions. She explained advantages of attending a business school before attempting to get a secretarial positiogi.
