The Sei iorc from the several schools attended classes with' ecturers who are recognized authorities in the'.r fields. Also, the Seniors \vere * given sheets listing almost every subject , possible and asked. to check the most interesting to them. Senior Class Play Tho Senior class play committee, consisting of Ilene Bassett, Gil Mercurc, Mary a Bousser^ Bill Lang: on. Ed Lacy; and Mary Nye, has chosen "Our Hearts Were Young and Gay" a« the annual Senior class play. Copies of tho. play can be obtained from the library, (Seniors only), all this week. We hope to see all the Seniors out fojr the play to make it a success. Student Council The Student Council voted not to sponsor any more dances this ye&r as they now have sufficient funds to pay for pin? and the annual banquet to be held as soon as the '53-'B4 representatives kre chosen. f The members of this organization were happy to hear that their pins had arrived. The council is paying one-haif th< price of each pin. Wednesday noon, movie shorts were aponsored by the council. An admission of ten cents was charged. : ; •</:. Girl's .'Sports. ,4;, :^,a, • Thau Seniors and Sophoiifkot-ies won the all-star games which were held Thursday, March ?2. In tne first game the Sophs beat the Frosh 31-8. Barb Cable was high scorer with 11 points, followed by Ann May with 7, Pat Kuhn with 6. Virginia Audino with 4 and Pat hosing with 2. On the Freshman side, Pearl Mathews was on top with 5, Diana Pieroni with 2, and Marilyn Watson with ]. In the second game the Seniors defeated the Juniors by a'score of 22-18. It wa^ a good game, with both teams fighting hard For the Seniors, Doris Bauer was high scorer with 12 points, followed by Linn McCurdy with 7 and Arlene Thiele with 3. On the Junior sid-J it wa? Adele Schmitt with 8 points, followed by Dorcthy Hiller and Janice Oefflint<T with 4 each and Donna Dowe with 2. Auditorium Meeting All students were present for the handing out of athletic awards last Wednesday. A list of those receiving awards will be in next week. For states east of the Appalachian range there, were no deaths of residents of states lying south of Virginia.
