The party WW attended by Haxkk'a miua& frtands and relatives' ' Harold Fox suffered a heart attack late Friday evening. The rescUe squad was called to add tlfeir assistance and to use some of their new equipment. I'm sure their speed and quick thinking helped to save Mr. Fox's life. Mf. Fox has had many of his friends at his bedside constantly. Its at times like these that friands are nice people to have around. •I'm quite sure Mrs. Fox can't express enough thanks to all the wonderful people who have stood bjr in time of her gTeat need. •We; all hope Harold will be on his wky to recovtfry real soon. A triple anniversary celebration was in progress last Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Hettermann celebrated their fifteenth wedding anniversary on May 11, Mr. and Mrs. James H e t t e r m a n n c e l e b r a t e d t h e i r third anniversary on May 13 and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hettermann celebrated tfieir eighth anniversary on May 19. After a fine dinner at Simonini's restaurant in Algonquin, the Hettermanns' tfent to the B^ckfrorn lodge, in ' Carpentersville. Mr. and Mis. Joseph* Kroh of Riverside sf>ent the weekend at their summer residence. They were joined for a Saturday evening "on the town" by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Freund, Mr. and Mrs. Peter 3m$.th ana Mrs. Mamie King. Friends and relatives will be hajfpy to learn that Miss Betty Lou Keenan was crowned queen of the bean and pepper jamboree. Betty Loti was sponsored by the Lion's <lub of Pompano Beach, Fla. This has been the second time Betty Lou came out on top, the first time having been of similaj nature. The Keenan^ resided in Johnsburg at one time and have been spending their summers here since moving to Beach three years ago.; , t••*<#*• Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stermer, who have a summer home in Niesen's subdivision, spent the weekend here. They were joined by their son, Edward, granddaughter, Cathy, and the Clarence Millers of Chicago. , Mr* and Mrs. A. Kotifw family were here to open their summer hpme in Niesen's subdivision over last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thelen, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dehn and Mr. and Mrs. James Hettermann were guests at the home of the Gene Kings of McHenry on Tuesdiay evening. Tfie occasion was their monthly canasta club. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Meyers of McHenry were there also. A fire swept the interior of the home of ' James J. Adduci, former state representative of Chicago, last Friday. Mrs. Marie Scherman, a friend of the Adduci family, lost her life due to burns and suffocation. Mrs. Scherman was alone i& tho -home when the fire broke eut. Mr. Adduci intends to rsihodti his home in the near future. A wonderful crowd gathered at the Community Club hail last( Sunday evening to attend' a IP*" ish party. Don't forget the ball game next Sunday afternoon when the tigers play host to the Algonquin ball team. Excitement is in store fcr everyone.
