The McHenry Garden club was represented by Mrs. Jules Gonseth. Mrs. Charles *r00dell, Mrs. George Johnson. Mrs. Nat ftill, Mrs. Fred Lieber- «on, Mrs. George Kramer, Mrs. | Alice Barbian and Mrs. Clifford Thornton. The theme of the mee'ting was "Background to Beauty." At the morning session, demonstrations were given of arrangements of flowers, showing proper backgrounds for photography. After luncheon at the Congregations! church, the program was conducted by Glen Palmer, director of conservation of the state of Illinois. Born June 20, 1871, Mr Schaefer was a lifelong resident of Johnsburg. He was painter. Survivors Include eight nieces ily of the late John and Mar .garet "Adams Schaefer. He never married. The body rested at the George Justen & Son funeral home until 9:30 o'clock Tuesday morning, when last rites were conducted from St. John's church, with burial in the church cemetery. Channel 11, Chicago's proposed educational television station, will cover the 60 mile radius as shown in the map above. Communities in this 60 mile area are organizing fund campaigns to raise $800,000 by June 2nd, the deadline set by the Federal Communications Cprnmis* sion. It was a sight never to be forgotten by the persons who witnessed it and for those that didn't it should lie a must for next year. Sunday will be our oWn celebration. First will be our big first anniversary class of candidates to be initiated at 2 p.m. Upwards of sixty-five are expected to be present in the class. Gordon Main, the state director, will deliver tfife welcome to these new Moose. After the Initiation, the women friends and guests are invited to attend for a full evening of fun and frolic. Saturday evening more fun is in store when we have special entertainment for our party night. We are entertaining Antioc and Zion-Benton lodges. Come--on over, the more the merrier. Lake and Prances Sheets of Spring Grove, one brother, Stive May, of Johnsburg; one sister, Mrs. Dena Rothermel. of McHenry; fifteen grand-children and and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. May was active in the work of the Christian Mothers sodality, which she served as president a few years ago. The body rested at the George Justen funeral home until Tuesday morning, when last rites were conducted from St. Peter's church, followed by interment in the church cemetery, Spring Grove.
