Long Distance Ftione 101 On Sunday afternoon, May 16, the Daughters of *98, junior auxiliary, United Spanish War Veterans, held their annual memorial services at 400 S. State street, Chicago, honoring their fathers and grandfathers who served in the Spanish American War, the Philippine Campaign and the Boxer Rebellion in China, 1898- 1902. Mrs. William G. Ackerson of Mineral Springs, captain of Roosevelt Fort No. 4, Daughters of '98, presided. Each father in attendance was presented with a red carnation and for those who are no longer with us, a white cai nation was placed on the altar by each cadet, honoring their fathers, and a spray of white carnations was placed on the altar honoring all departed veterans. Each Spanish War veteran in attendance at the ceremonies was presented with a pink carnation boutenniere. Mothers were honored on this occasion with a gift. After a short period of contests and entertainment, a potluck supper was served.
