That big Wally Otto was the cause of most of the McHenry trouble. He pitched ^ 6-hit ball and fanned 5 batters. He did walk 7 batters, but only one of those got around to the pay-off station. Hugh Murphy pitched seven innings for the Shamrocks, turning the job over to "Sonny" Miller with a 4-1 score to the books. The Lakers scored two runs in the second when Bartelt was safe on Molidor's throw to first. Bruhn beat out a roller to third. Otto then lined a hot two-base hit to left which was good for two runs. With two out in the fourth. Howard Knox drew a pass. Harry Stilling moved him to second with a safe hit to left. Murphy lashed a hit to left center and Knox raced home. Todd and Fredricks hit home runs. At the end of the fourth inning the scoie was 8 to 4 in favor of the Palace. Pa's Yanks couldn't^~do a thing with Kreutzer in the last three innings as they went down in order in each inning.
