Hollander of Chicago. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl A. Behnke of East River Road, McHenry, and the groom is the son of John Hollander of Chicago and the late MTS. Hollander. Rev. Raipxi smith officiated at the double ring,' candlelight service. The charming bride chose a ballerina length gown of chantilly lace and net over blush satin, fashioned with long sleeves, and full skirt. She wore a pearl necklace and earrings, gifts of the groom. Her shoulder length* veil fell from a half-cap of matching lace and satin and featuring clusters of tiny seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of white orchids, lilies of the valley and stephanotis. Miss Sharon Hedblade of Elgin and Mrs. Elizabeth Cook of Palatine, Close friend^ of the bride, served, as /honorv attendants. They were attired similarly in amethyst velvet cocktail gowns, with matching half hats, and carried cascade bouquets consisting of lavender pompoms and baby mums. ' Miss Diane Behnke, niece of the bride, served as flower girt, wearing a lavender floor length gown of net over taffeta and carrying a basket of rose- petals. On her head she wore a crown entwined with tiny amethyst flowers. - Richard Lilja of Chicago served as best man and groomsman was John Karhalois, also of that city. Both are close friends of the groom. Ushers were Hans Behnke, brother of the bride, and Norman Hollander, brother of the groom. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Behnke chose a taupe dress Of. ,l»ce over with lavender accessories aftd a white orchid portage. Dinner was served to 175 j gueSts at the American Legion home to -McHenry immediately after the ceremony. Later in the evening, a reception was held there for 350 guests. Included were friends and relatives from New York City, Independence, Mo., and Eagle River, Wis. Following a trip to Florida and Cuba, the newlyweds will return to make their home in McHenry. The bride graduated from the Wauconda high school,' attended Northern Illinois State Teachers college at DeKalb and is now employed at the local telephone business office as a service representative. The bridegroom was graduated from Senn high school in Chicago, served in the tJ.S. Air Force and is now employed at the Peck and Harvey Blue Print company in Chicago. A. Connor, director of the Seventh U. S. Civil Service region. Competition, in this examination is restricted to persons who reside within the delivery of the 'Ringwood post office and persons now employed in that office who are between the ages of 18 and SO. These age limits are waived for veterans. Persons now holding temporary or indefinite appointments should file for this examination if they wish to be considered for permanent appointment. A written test is required of all applicants. Applications must be filed with the director, Seventh U. S. Civil Service Region, New Post Office Building, Chicago 7, 111., and will be accepted until Nov. 15. Lester, 76, of Elgin, daughter of the late Johanna Sutton Powers and John Powers of McHenry, died last Thursday afternoon in St. Jo-1 seph's hospital following a long j illness. They are Francis Ritzert, 19, his brother, Glenn, 15, Joseph Komes, 18, all of the Lakemoor area, and Fred Zellhofer, 20, of Huntley. The latter was also charged with driving without a v&.id operator's license.
