Mrs. Flora Harrison and Stanley Jepson were guests in the Ardin Frigbie home at Greenwood on Thanksgiving day. Students from Northwestern university will be in charge of the worship service at Ringwood and Greenwood next Sunday, bringing both sermon and special music, in the evening they will meet with the Senior Youth Fellowship group and their guests from Alden and Hebron. School News The eighth grade children have been doing some work in civics, Which will be needed in preparation for high school. There has been a great deal of work done in practicing for the Christmas play. Most of the children in the upper and lower grades are participating' in some way. Our music teacher, Mrs. Burton, has been helping us to learn the songs for the play. Mary Elien Carr celebrated her eleventh birthday on Thanksgiving, Nov. 25, The Ackerman family moved to their new home Nov. 21. Four of the five children go to our school. They are Donna in the eighth grade, David in the third, Donald in the second and Daniel in the first. Two movies were seen Nov. 24. The names are "The Making of a Mural" and "Making Shoes." Veronica Davis, school reporter LICENSE PLATES Secretary of State Charles F. (Carpentier has announced the assignment of. ninety-eight of the first 100 automobile license numbers for 1955. Assignment of numbers 6 and 52 has not been completed, he said. When the entire list is finished, there will be only three changes, since ninety-seven of the holders of numbers this year used the state's re-assignment law to retain them for next year. Only one change occurs in the 98. That is Number 3, formerly held .by Mrs. Winifred R. Hughes, widow of former Secretary of State Edward J. Hughes. Mrs. Hughes died in the last year. Secretary Carpentier has assigned the number to his wife. A change in registration was entered for Number 34, changing the listing from Lincoln Fields Racing Association, Inc., to Miss Frances I. Polley, 306 South Michigan avenue, Chicago. Miss Polley is the owner of Lincoln Fields. Of the two numbers where assignment is not completed. Number 6 was held by the late Herbert B.
