Smith , was among seven men who left for service in the Armed Forces from the local draft board last week. Aviation Cadet Orlando Guerra Of- McHenrv has completed his primary pilot training at Columbus Air base, Miss., and is -now taking basic multi-engine training at Goodfellow Air Force base, San Angelo, Texas. Upon successful completion of his training, he will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force and awarded his silver pilots wings. The son of Gueseppe Guerra of rural McHenry, he is a graduate of Wauconda high school. He entered the military service in February, '1951. Justen & Son funeral home. Michael J. Doyle Michael J. Doyle dded unexpectedly at his home on Regner Road, Pistakee Bay, Dec. 8. He was 63 years old. The deceased was born in Chicago Sept. 17, 1891. He was a retired city fiieman and a resident of the Bay area for several years. The body rested at the George Justen & Son funeral home. Services were conducted from St. Mary's church at 10 o'clock Saturday, with burial in the church cemetery. Sister Baptista Sister Baptista, formerly of the Johnsburg community, died Sunday at St. Louis, Mo., where she had' lived for several years. She was retired after serving as a nun in various locations for many years. Let's face it! A main dish that is a penny-saver, easy to fix, yet attractive and downright good eating is the answer. Hot Tomato Juice DeLuxe Supper Casserole Buttered Lima and Green Beans Lettuce Salad Tropical Shortcake Coffee ' ' Milk DeLuxe Supper Casserole 8 slices bread 2 tablespoons butter, or margarine 1 cup canned luncheon meat, chicken, tuna, or salmon 1 small onion K lb. American cheese 1 can (12 oz.) whole kernel corn 3 eggs }k teaspoon salt 2 cups milk Spread bread with butter and cut each slice into about six strips. Arrange a layer in bottom of an 8 x 12 oiled baking dish. Cut meat (or break fish) into bite size pieces. Put a layer of meat, chopped onion, grated cheese and corn over bread. Repeat layers. Beat eggs and add salt and milk. Pour over mixture in baking dish. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F.) about 30 to 35 minutes."Serve at once. Six servings. Tropical Shortcake: Mix a pound can of drained fruit cocktail with a diced banajia and a cup of sweetened whipped cream. Cut a can of date nut bread into 12 thin slices. For each serving put fruit mixture between two slices and heaped on top. Six servings. Services were held in St. Louis on Wednesday morning. O. \V. Herrmann A long period or poor nealth ended Tuesday, Dec. 14, in the passing of O- W. Herrmann, who >esidod along the Fox river for thirty years. He is survived by his widow, Emma Tansor Herrmann; two sons, Elmer and Ollie, and two daughters, Neva Clow and Ruth Suerth. The body rested at the funeral home at 6754 Northwest highway until 10 o'clock Wednesday evening. Services will be private.
