Santa Claus was ably assisted by a lady helper when it • came time to distribute the candy to all those who put in their Christinas order. .. Each girl brought a dish to serve and received a gift from the grab bag. Monday evening the Forester boys held thfeir holiday patty. The children of the younger set Were well represented at both of these parties. Tuesday evening, the Lady Foresters held their party, starting with a pot-luck supper. Christmas songs were sung by all the Sisters and ladies present. Santa Claus entered the T»«^l amidst the bell ringing and presented each lady with a gift. IMoiiu Home Mr. and Mrs. Fred Karpinski of Weingart's subdivision are happy to have their son, Cpl. James Comstock, home after spending two years in service. He has spent a couple.of weeks in St. Joseph's health resort but is also making a slow but sure move on the road to recovery. We all hope both Eleanor and Joe will continue in the forthcoming year in good health. Visits Grandmother Here Miss Betty Lou Keenan arrived in Chicago last Sunday by plane from pompano Beach, Fla. Betty Lou had quite an experience for her first plane ride. It seems the plane took off from Miami and got as far as Georgia when it developed some kind of trouble and was forced to return to Miami, where it stayed on the ground for about 'four hours. Betty Lou finally arrived. safe and sound in Chicago some eight hours late. I'll bet she won't forget her first plane ride, Mrs, Hettermann is Betty Lou's grandmother.
