wirHgM THE McHENRY PLAINDEALER , ;£>$ w- Xhurfday, FebruarylO* J 3 LAKEMOOR & LILYMOOR fey Maroella Fow Success or Failure This past week a rumor was started which may prove to be ttlie cause- of the failure of the Saturday night dance sponsored by the L.I.A. As president of this c rganization, I believe that rumors should be laughed at instead of a big issue being made of them. Since our membership voted in this dance and threefourths of the net proceeds will go to the fire dlepartment, thus We are the only ones who will lose if this affair is not a success. TV.e fire department has all to gain. Expenses for such an affair run high and with our limited treasury you can see what will happen if we do not all cooperate in making this .dance a huge success as we have always done in the past. We all want the community fire house building to be completed in the near future so that it will be more pleasant to hold meetings there but it will never be done if things are allowed to happen to such affairs. So come on out, folks, and forget your grievances for an evening and enjoy dancing, good food and a bunch of wonderful people. The dance is being held at Club Lilymoor. Tickets may be purchased at the door. QUALITY SERVICE tHI *U9C*miON PKAMMACf * ' GAS PUMP THOUGHTS By: Ed Guettler There are a lot of stories about women drivers; but here's one of the roughest I've heard. . . It seemed that this husband was receiving a phone call from a service station telling him that his wife just drove the car in . . . But before he could finish his statement, the husband boringly answered, "All right, okay, I'll pay for the car." "Who's worrying about that", continued the station' attendant, "Who's going to repair my garage?" Of course, these kind of stories are highly exaggerated, say the gals. And we at GUETTLER'S CITIES SERVICE agree. Plenty of the ladies drive in here at HIGHWAY 31, McHENRY, 111. We haven't lost a gas pump yet.
