Peter's Catholic church, Spring Grove, last Sunday, with Fr. Daleiden officiating. Sponsors were Mrs. Charlton Nicholson of Liber,tyville, an aunt, and Joseph Koyak of Round Lake, an uncle. Following the service, a duck dinner was served ait the Redmer home to the above mentioned and also the following guests: Charlton Nicholson and daughter, Sharon, and Miss Mary Ann Green of Libertyville; Mrs. Joseph Koyak and daughter, Cathy, the great-grandmother, Mrs. Florence Yaeger, and the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gorns, of Round Lake; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Redmer, Sr., of McHenry; and Gregory's brother, Jeffrey. The program will be furnished by twenty-five members of the school band, Under direction of Sister Andreella. O.G.S. Planning 80th Anniversary Past Officers' night, O.E.S., is scheduled for April 12 aJt Acacia Hill at 8 o'clock. Among other business, the fiftieth anniversary committee will present plans for festivities tentatively set for Oct. 8. The anniversary dinner committee is Composed of Elsie Reiker and Alyce Hoefit as co-chairmen, assisted by Myrtle Harrison, Ethel Holly and Martha Neuharth. They have been devoting time to planning and will have suggestions to present for final approval. Home Bureau Unit Will Meet April 12 "Dressing for the Occasion" will be thfe major topic of discussion at the Ringwood unit, Home Bureau, meeting Tuesday, April 12, at the Elsie Hoppe residence. Eager Beavers Safer Contest The Eager Beavers, McHenry 4-H dub met in the home of their senior leader, Mrs. Earl Krukow, last Week. Judy Hans presided over the meeting with the help of the junior leader, Nancy Swanson. The twenty-two members pres- Angela Parratore New 4-H President The Go-Getters 4-H club has selected Angela Parratore of Lakemoor as president. The club serves young people between 10 and 20 years of age who Jive in Spring Grove, Lakemoor, the Fritzche Estates and surrounding area. Mrs. John Bonder is leader. The Go-Getters have been meeting at the Bonder residence and plan to make arrangements for use of the Community Center as they increase in membership. At this point, projects selected for achievement work and entering in county fair competition are in the home economics line. Angela PanratoTe gave a talk on safety and Janice Bonder demonstrated the first baker's project. The following officers have been elected: Harriet Preston, vice-president; Rosalie Linden, treasurer; Roberta Neff, secretary. Gayle Bonder is on charge of recreation, Janice Bonder is delegate to 4-H Federation and Nancy Ritter is reporter. It will be John Zoias Adopt Baby \ Announcement has been made by Mr. and Mrs. John Zoia of Mount Prospect of the adoption of a five-month-old son, John Michael. The baby's grandparents are Mrs. 'Mary Zoia of Woodstock and Mr. and Mrs. George Phalin of McHenry. Present Prizes For i Card Tourney The last business meeting of the Catholic Daughters of America was held oil March 31, at which time prizes for winners in the recent oard tournament were presented. Awards went to Dorothy Adams and Elvera Nye in biidge; Anna" Hay, Lillian Stoffel, Van Diedrich and Lena. Bohr in canasta; Rose Preund, Elizabeth Thompson, Laura Weber, Kathryn L. FYeund, Ann Rodenkirch and Helen Heuser in pinochle. Special prizes went to Olive May, Anna Hay, Lena Bohr, Rose Kennebeck, Evelyn Albright, Martha Freund, Bertilla !Freund, Imogene Ruckstuhl, Rachel Lomasney, Pauline Nimagern, Helen Weber and Helen Nuber. Honored At Bridal Shower Miss Joan Scholz was guest of honor at a pre-nuptial miscellaneous shower held at the Bernard Schmltt residence near Johnsburg recently. Plans for the flower show were also talked about and a donation of several flats of flowers for Downey hospital was made. The afternoon was climaxed with a delicious dessert served by the gracious hostess. The next meeting will be held at tihe home of Mrs. W. A. Pries in the Country Club subdivision on April 26.
