Adams, 56, of Johns-; burg died unexpectedly of" a heart j attack early on the morning' of j April 27.' He had operated a grocery business in his home j c o m m u n i t y f o r ; a . n u m b e r o f j years. The deceased was born in • ^ Johnstourg Jun#®24, 1898. Survivors include the widow, Clara Klein Aidlams; a son, Ronald, and a daughter, Donna, living at home; two brothers, Ixwla Adams of McHenry and Joseph of Richmond; two sisters, $Vfiss Anna Adams of Johnsburg! and Mrs. Elizabeth Oeffling of McHenry. Last rites were conducted at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning fttom St. John's church, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Russell W. Gibbs Russell W. Gibbs, 50, of Woodstock, formerly of the McHenry community, died in his sleep at tils home Saturday, April 30. The deceased was born May 18, 1904, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gibbs. He was married to Alvina Miller, on Jan. 14, 1927. He was a member of the V Knights of Columbus. Mr. Gibbs was employed as a fireman at the Woodstock power plant. Survivors include the widow; five sons, Mel, Riohardi, Russell, Jr., and Fred, all of Woodstock, and Gerald, who is in service. Funeral rites were conducted at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Mary's church, Woodstock, with burial in St. Mary's cemetery, McHenry. CONCLUDE LIST OF NEW BOOKS AT PUBLIC LIBRARY On Sunday morning, May 8, at the 9 a.m. mass, twenty^three young people will receive the Blessed Sacrament for the first time here at Christ the King church in Wonder Lake. They are as follows: Donna Mack, Lois Rice, Jeanette McCall, Mary Rankin, Thomas Weisenburger, Laurence Paulin, Roger Schiller, Patsy MaphaJinski, Gary Hunt, Roberta Burns, Eugene Bolda, Eilene Bruscato, Judith 'Fredrick, Lee Habich, Judith Knackstedt, Terry Miller, Kat'.:ieen Noble, Robert Pike, Louise Ruggero, Emmett Winch ell, Patrick Wyatt, Carol Wood and Richard Yager. The Sisters of St. Mary's in McHenry have instructed these children in religion classes and prepared them for this great Occasion. The Crowning of the Blessed Mother, Queen of May, Will take place on Sunday afternoon. May 15, at 1 p.m. Miss Carol Filler wi'll place the crown of flowers on the head of the statue of the Blessed Mother. Miss Phyllis Letizia and Miss Mary Jean Clinton wall be I'-ier attendants. All the Queens Ladies and all the children making their First Communion this year will form a procession in honor of the crowning. VISITOR TO WONDER LAKE DIED AFTER HEART ATTACK William Kelly of California died last Thursday, April 28, of a heart attack, just four days before his thirty-seventh birthday anniversary May 2. He was employed as an electrician. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Gronlund, whom he i'ad been visiting. He also leaves two brothers, John W. of LaGran^e and Eugene L. of Wonder Lake. The deceased was a veteran of World War II. He never married. The body rested at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home until Saturday at 10 o'clock, when last rites were conducted from Christ the King church. Interment was in Queen of Heaven cemetery. Hillside, 111. Mrs. Knaack Welcomes ; New Family Members Baby Week came a little early this year for Mrs. Laura Knaack of McHenry, who became grandi mother and great-grandmother within a few weeks. Tre first' day of April, a daughter, April Ann, was bom to j her granddaughter, Mrs. John Hendricks, who is residing with her parents, the Eric CarlqUists, in Woodale, while the baby's father is serving with the Navy in Sftn Die£o, Calif. He recently returned from service in Korea. On April 18, a son, Thiomas Steven, was born to Mrs. Knaack's son, Norman, and wife at Memorial hospital. They have two other children, Kathy Ann and Kurt Michael. Abbut ten days ago a daughter, Sally Ann, was born <to Mr. and Mirs. Tim. Wheelock (Gwen Knaack).
