The Douglas girls, like the Speedettes, can really hustle, never giving up until the last out is made. The Chicago Roamers, -though beaten by our girls 9-8 two weeks ago, are also very good and always a threat to our team. We would like to show you what has been accomplished so far and also to ask for assistance in completing the park. We need help in order to get League play started by July 7. Due to the eleven days of rain, we are behind schedule. If there are any boys from outside the" McHenry grade school district registered with a McHenry Little League team, please contact the league secretary. We cannot accept anyone from outside the grade school district. However, Wonder Lake has started a move to get Little League baseball established there. It is believed that Johnsburg will follow suit very -shortly. Thus, every boy in this community will have an opportunity to play. But it is very important that each boy play in his own district.
