On Tuesday night the ball park was completed to the last detail. Now everyone is anxiously awaiting the league opener tonight (Thursday). The Falcons will clash- with the Owls in a game which should be a good pne. On Monday t|ie uniforms' were issued to all the Little Leagyers. We would like to impress on all the players that the uniforms -are theirs to wear but will remain property of McHenry Little .League. They are to be turned £in to the manager at the end of the playing season. Also we would like to ask the parents ta use extra care in washing the uniforms, so as to keep the colors from running. LEAGUE .(Standings St. Patrick's Church Wonder Lake McCullom Lake trLakemoor W 1 1 0 0 1 The Kiwanis International softball league opened the season on 'July 1, 1955, the league is composed of 4 teams of McHenry township. Last Friday the St. Patrick's Catholic church met the fast aggregation McCullom Lake, at McCullom Lake and defeated the latter by a score of 4 to 3 in a fast 7 inning game. Wonder Lake defeated the Laikemoor team by the score of 16 to 7, Wonder Lake collecting 20 hits to Lakemoor's 10. ( On Friday July 8, 1955 Wonder Lake will meet St. Patrick's dhurch team at the V.F.W. field , Jn McHenry and the Lakemoor's will play McCullom Lake at McCullom Lake. All games will be played at 7:00 p.m. on Fridays. LOCAL 4-H MEMBERS RETURN FROM WEEK AT SUMMER C AMP Ninety McHenry county 4-H'ers enjoyed . five days recently at their beautiful district camp site, Camp Shaw-Waw-Nas-See, on Rock Creek near Kankakee. The camp is. one of five district camps in the state of Illinois, serving counties in the northeastern section of the sta£e. *FuAds raided by 4-H'ers have built the camp. It now Includes a dining hall and kitchen, cabins, crafts workshop, recreation hall and cabins for the staff. Facili- • ties are available for swimming, crafts, sports and nature study. Ninety campers and counselors were at the camp from McHenry county, along with campers from Livingston and Cook counties.
