Simon, maitre d' at the Ivanhoe restaurant, Chicago, died last weekend. He had spent his early life in the McHenry and Johnsburg communities. Survivors include the widow, Lynda; two children. Emil C. Simon, Jr., and Mrs. Emily Rees of McHenry; one granddaughter; three brothers, Walter, Alex and Louis Simon. The body rested at a chapel at 5501 N; Ashland avenue until Tuesday morning at 9::»0 o'clock, when last rites were conducted from St, Andrew's chuivh. Interment was in St. John's cemetery, Johnsburg. Elizabeth Warburton Mrs. Elizabeth Warburton, 60, of West Shore Beach, MoCullom | Lake, died Sunday, July 24',' at | Memorial hospital, Woodstock. | She is survived by her husband, | Clarence, an „ employee of the j Ringwood Chemical company; j two sons, George Rnriock of Naperville and Walter Radock of Washington. Services were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the George Justen & Son funeral home, with burial in Ringwood cemetery. Minnie P. Low Minnie P. Low, 82, a resident of Bay View Lane, Pistakee Bay, for more than forty-five years, died at the Old People's rest home in Woodstock Saturday, July 23. Mrs. Low is survived by two sons, Wells B. Cleveland of McHenry and George Low of Beloit, Wis. • Services were held at the Woodstock home, lifter which the body was removed to Chicago, where graveside rites were conducted at Oakwood cemetery. Richard R. Hart Funeral' services were held last Friday from a chapel at 821 E 75th street, Chicago, for Richard R. Hart, 42, of Island Lake, who died July 19 in a Waukegan hospital. He was superintendent at the Foreman Trailer company in Chicago. William Sutton William Sutton, 79, of Marengo, who formerly lived in McHenry, died Sunday, July .31, following a long illness. Surviving are three sisters and two 'brothers. He was the cousin of Mrs. Edith Hayes and Albert Purvey of McHenry. ' Carlton S. Robb Carlton S. Robb, 60, of Marengo, died in St. Luke's hospital, Chicago, July 25, after a lingering illness. He had made his home in McHenry a number of years ago. Mr. Robb served as president of the Marengo Federal Savings and^oan company, as city treasurer two terms, was a justice of the peace and was at various times in the real estate and grocery businesses. His widpw, one daughter, three brothers and two sisters survive. Edward J. Powers Edward J. Powers, 72, retired Chicago police sergeant and father of Mrs. Albert Stilling of McHenry, died July 20 in Miami Beach, Fla., where he had resided for the last two years. Survivors include the widow. Rose; a son, Edward, head of the FBI in Boston, Mass; and a brother and a sister. The body was returned to Chicago, where a requieni mass was sung at 9:30 Monday morning'at the Little Flower churfch. . APPLE CROP prospects in the 26 commercial counties are for an apple crop of 1.500.000 bushels. This is 34 per cent below a year ago and 51 per cent below the average. The situation throughout the state is highly variable. Southern Illinois growers are expecting a very light crop, at besj;, while Calhoun county and western ^Illinois orchardists anticipate raarly a half crop. Northern Illinois growers are looking, forward to one of their best years. In the southern part of the state (Golden Delicious will probably be the best variety. Very little insect damage has taken place thus far, but there is a considerable amount of scab due to cool- wet weather. Nearly 14,000 pegpons were killed in weekend traffic accidents last year.
