WEST SHORE BEACH NEWS By Mary jbay ' We imagine most mothers get a shock when they realize their son is old enough to go to a freshman dance, but imagine the shock of Lyall Anderson when Dick looked down at her and said, "We are supposed to wear our mother's clothes." However, .with the help of some kind (apd large) neighbors, he got the feminine attire, complete with nylons. Our guess is that he and Tom Hanley are very happy they are boys and won't have to go through that again. Eileen and Judy Homo have joined the junior group of the American Legion auxiliary. The Chet Andersons went to Chicago last week to meet Chefs cousins, who are visiting from Sweden. Kelly Conway is bowling with the city league this season. ^ Vincent Day went into the hospital for an emergency appendectomy. All of his friends are very sorry for him, he went to Alexian Brothers hospital -- no female nurses. Gerry Johnson- is going into the Woodstock hospital this week for surgery. Our very best wishes and we hope to see you back real soon. Mrs. Ann Noble was a guest of the pinochle club last week. Even the ones who lost the most games had a good time -- I think. Birthday greetings to Lorraine Johnson, and oyr regrets that she didn't get her expected company on Wednesday. Scouts Our Cub Scouts made a fine showing at the pow-wow on Saturday night. Boy Scout Kenny Homo beat the drums for their Indian dances, Roy Cimiley, Walter Bieszczad and Jim Flisnik got their Bobcat pins. They also did a pretty good job on the hot dogs and soda pop afterward.
