We Are Now Proud To Announce the Latest Addition... "TYDOL PETROLEUM PRODUCTS" <§& THE McHENRY COUNTY FARMERS CO-OPERATIVE ASSOCIATION was organized by the undersign^ Jacob Olbrich, H. E. Whipple of Harvard, 111., A. J. Gafke, Woodstock, 111.; J. H. Turner, Hebron, 111.; Frank M. Barber, Woodstock, 111.; R. W. Stewart, Hebron, 111.; J. R. Wells and J. C. Olbrich, Harvard, 111. propose to form a corporation under an act of the general assembly of the' state of Illinois, entitled, "an act to provide for the incorporation of Co-Operative Associations for Pecuniary Profit." THE f)BJ!ECT for which it is formed is for the purpose of buying and selling se£d and agricultural supplies of every kind and character including farm machinery. Purchasing, selling of and dealing in said farm products and agriculture supplies either at wholesale or retail. , THE COMMISSIONERS duly authorized to open books of subscription to the Capital Stock of the MoHenry Co. Farmers Co-Operative Association pursuant to license Heretofore issued bearing date of the 24t!h daly of June" 1920 A.D. A CALL FOR 'A MEETING for the purpose of electing Directors and adopting By-Laws for the Ass'n. was held in the court house in the City of Woodstock, 111., on August 4th 1920 at 1:00 o'clock P.M. The meeting was called to order by commissioner Jacob Olbrich, a motion was introduced and seconded that Jacob Olbrich be made temporary President and A. J. Gafke, temporary Secretary after whiih the By-Laws were adopted and the following- Directors ele^ed, C. L. Page, R. J. Wells, A. J. Gafke, C. W. Gibbs, W. H. Gardener, Jacob Olbrich, Aijton Schmitt, J. H. Turner and L. W. Thompson. ' ' •*% THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS was held in which W. H. Gardener was elected President, Cha|. L. I*age, Vice President and A. J. Gafke, Secretary and Treasurer at a meeting of the Board of Directors' on Aug. 5, 1920. The Cooley Mill at McHenry was purchased and on September 10, 1920 Mr. W. H. Gardener resigned as President. On October 16, 1920, Mj\ J. W. Wiiigate was elected Director to fill the vacancy caused by resignation of W. H. Gardener. Mr. C. L. Page was elected President, L. W. Thompson, Vice President, November 3, 1920. The plant at Crystal- Lake of Kagebein and Miller was purchased. . , ON AUGUST 1, 1921, due to the death of Mr. C. L. Page, Mr. Ernest Miller was elected President. On July 18, 1924 Mr. Miller resigned as president due to ill health. Mr. H. F. Senne was elected president. Mr. John. Bolger was elected president Dec. 13, 1929. On Sept. 16, 1939, Mr. A. R. Zilly of Crystal Lake was appointed Mgr. of the Crystal Lake. Plant. In 1-941, the McHenry Mill and its contents were destroyed by fire caused by lightening and a new plajit was erected, at a cost of $45,000. BECAUSE of the untimely death of Mr. Bolger, President and Manager, a special meeting was called on Dec. 5, 1942. Mr. John C. Olbrich was elected President and Roy H. Miller w.as appointed Manager of the McHenry plant. IN 1951, the coal plant and its trucks at Crystal Lake were destroyed by fire. Dec. 1, A. R. Zilly resigned as Manager of the Crystal Lake Plant. Lester Ebel was appointed Manager of that plant. On Nov. 13, 1953 at the annual meeting Mr. James D. Curran was elected President. Dec. 19, Lester Ebel resigned as Manager of the Crystal Lake Plant. The Directors voted a one Manager system, appointing Roy H. Miller. AT Tufa ANNUAL Stockholders meeting held in McHenry in Dec. 1954, dinner was served to 300. There being a quorum of stockholders, it was vojted to change from the 1915 Agricultural Act under which the Co. was operating, to the 1923 Agricultural Act, a more modern and efficient act for the Co. The articles of incorporation and the By Laws of the Co. have been revised and adopted to comply with the 1923 Agricultural. Act. IN MARCH OF 1955 a bulk molasses unit was installed. We can mix any amount "of molasses in your rations or supply anyone who is in need of bulk molasses at the McHenry Plant. JUNE, 1955 an oat crimper was installed for beef, dairy and calf feeders of this locality. Two new gas pumps were installed not only to supply our trucks but also, the PUBLIC.
