Fire Department The Lakemoor volunteer fire department will hold a Hallowe'en dance on Saturday, Oct. 29, at the fire department Community House. Get your tickets from any fireman or Fire Chief Frank Bitterman. Auxiliary The Lakemoor volunteer fire department auxiliary will hold a bake sale on Saturday, Oct. 8, starting at 1 p.m. at the fire department Community House. All donations will be appreciated. Mrs. Helen Buchwalter is chairman of the bake sale, Lakemoor Bible Ghurrh Sunday classes of the Lakemoor Bible church will be held between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. every Sunday afternoon at the Freeman home. McHenry Bible> Church - The McHenry Bible church is • having a fishermen's contest. The children receive a fish for every new member they bring to Sunday School. Anyone needing transportation call 591-W-L. P. T. A. The next P.T.A. meeting of the Lilymoor-Lakemoor school will Ti>e.heid on Thursday. Oct. 6, at 8 p.m. at the schoolhouse. The fc\T.A.v has a membership drive On and will welcome all new members. House Committee There will be a house committee meeting on Friday, Oct. 7. Brownies The Brownies will resume their meetings and activities in about Iwo weeks. Each child will receive a card in regard to the ' date and time of meeting. Girl Scouts The Girl Scouts opened their Thursday, Sept. 29, meeting with the flag presentation and the singing of the "Star Spangled Banner." Patrol l will have its meeting Tuesday from 7 to 8 at Virginia Gray's home. Patrol 11 will have its meeting Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Rosaime Brzezinski's home. • The Girl Scout council study group which was to have been held from Oct. 6 to Oct. 20, has been cancelled. if Cob Scouts The Ctfb Scouts will have their first meeting on Saturday, Oct. {£, at 10:30 a.m. at Mrs. Hatch's home. He: underwent a fourth skin .graft on Tuesday, CKSt. 4. He is feeling better and enjoys the cards and letters he receives. Bowling The Kiwanis ciub is again sponsoring children 10 years old or over to bowl at a similar fee as last year. They will bowl at the McHenry Bowling alleys on Saturdays at 10 a.m. The club will, form teams in about three or four weeks. Anyone interested in being an instructor will be very welcome. All children from Lilymoor and Lakemoor are welcome to join. "You will need your own transportation. - General News John and Dawn Fout are the proud parents of a girl, born at the Libertyville hospital. Dawn is the daughter of. Mr. and Mrs. Denny Kosup, who are greatly enjoying the role of proud grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Para had a busy weekend. On Saturday, Oct. 1. they entertained their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gerlack. and two boys of Barrington, and on Sunday spent the lero, and their children. They live in the home that was formerly Mr. and Mrs. Stencil's. Mrs. Pattallero spent a week at Memorial hospital at Woodstock, due to illness. Bobby Foss enjoyed over-night company of his friend, Albert Kempfer, formerly of Lakemoor, on Friday. Terry Morrison will be 6 yearaT pld on Wednesday, Oct. 5 and will celebrate it with a birthday cake and his family. John Hansen 'will be 14 yeara old this week, and will enjoy • it with family and friends. Lilymoor Bud Hueckstaedt celebrated a birthday two weeks ago. On Thursday, Oct. 6, Bud and Alma will be celebrating an anniversary. Happy ^Anniversary to you both.
