Frank and Jean Parisi did a grand job of organizing and promoting the party. First on the program was the judging of costumes. The costumes were judged on their originality, elaborateness and most -jpornical. The six winning prizes Jtor their costumes were Sharon Leigh, dressed as a bunny; Tom Reinhardt, costumed as a little clown; Candace Morgensen, depicting a gypsy; Kenny Owens, as a mechanical man; and two unidentified tramps. Qames were then played, with .more prizes given away. $ At the closing of the party each child was given a well filled hand-out sack. Over fifty donations were given for the party by our residents. The guests numbered in the sixties, with twenty-two families represented. Bill Salbo, relative of Mrs. Gates, who is a night club entertainer from Las Vegas, Nev., and now playing in Chicago, acted as master of ceremonies for the day. Guests attendfTrip Through The Ozarlu The autumn beauties of the Ozark countryside were enjoyed by Bud and Dorothy Uttich this past week when1 they had an unexpected vacation. Combining business and pleasure, Mrs. Uttich flew to Springfield, Mo., to 'join her husband, who had been there several weeks on business. While there, they drove through fpuch of the picturesque Ozarks seeing Fairy Cave, Marvel Cave, Rockaivay Beach on 'Lake Taneycomo and the Shepard-in-the-Hills farm in Branson, Mo. They also attended the Red Foley television show, "Ozark Jubilee." After enjoying the southern, sunny weather, they returned to McHenry in midst of'the blustery blizzard. Conservation (Club News The first meeting of the Mc- Cullom Lake Conservation club committeemen was held Thursday evening at the home of Larry Strandquist of Lakeland • Park. Plans were made to seine Mc- Cullom Lake Sunday, Nov. 6. Also on the agenda were plans for club activities ih skeet, rifle and pistol shooting, archery and bow hunting, fly' casting, fly tying and other sport activities. General meetings of the Conservation club are held on the second Sunday of each months•-at 3 p.m. in the beachhouse. At the next meeting on Nov. 13, sound movies, "Hunting in Alaska" and "Fishing in the Gulf of Mexico," will he shown as part of the program. The club now boasts a membership of over 250, of which over fifty are from Lakeland Park.
