The colors were presented and the' troop gave their pledge of allegiance. Each patrol then took over their corners and had a brief review of the Morse code, after which they were tested by the scoutmaster and assistant scoutmasters oh their aibility to recite it. James Hansen of the Eagle patrol brought in a very^ nicely made up knot board he had made, and we'd like to see more of these boards made up. ^S0 dad, remind that Scout of yours to get busy on his knot board. He'll enjoy making it, once he gets it started. A game of Indian dodge ball was played With the No. 1 team winning the game. After the game, the boys g:ot busy and started on the Christmas gifts they are making for their mothers. Dues were collected by the scribe. A new Scout joined us, Tim Ballowe. Welcome, Tim, we know you'll enjoy scouting. The meeting was closed by the Alligator patrol. /Troop 164 Our regular meeting was not f ]|eld as we were invited by the " Wonder Lake troop to attend their Scouting program night. Most of our Scouts attended, with the scoutmaster, Maynard Meyer, and assistant scoutmaster, Jack Weber. It was a very interesting . program and we all enjoyed it very much. A large number of adults, some of whom do not have a child in scouting, are taking an: active interest in the program. This did not necessarily mean that the child should be wearing corrective lenses, but that further visual testing was indicated; Notices to this effect were sent home to the parents.
