Tickets will be given to e children a week before the party, and the children must have their tickets to be able to attend. For further information please call Jen O'Leary, the chairman of the party. Brownies The sale of the Christmas corsages that the Brownies worked on was a big success. There are quite a few unfilled orders and Pat Morrison, the Brownie leader, will have more corsages for <pale next week. The proceeds of this sale is to build up the L J L W 'IP Brownie treasury. McHenry Bible Church The children who are in the Christmas program will have rehearsals on Dec. 11 and 18, at 2:30 p.m. at the church. The Sunday school children are asked to bring canned goods every Sunday to school for Christmas baskets to be made up for the needy. The $.C. 'Teens on Sunday, Dec. 18, will enjoy a light luncheon and then go singing Christmas carols in the evening. Everyone is invited to join in. Saturday, Dec. 3, Ted Beahler and 'his son, Dick, attended a . sing inspiration at the Bible church of Round Lake. Several other churches were represented, and movies and refreshments were enjoyed by all. The ladies of the McHenry Bible church will hold their meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 8 p.m. The ladies are sewing lace on' handkerchiefs to be given as gifts to the ladies of the Christian Haven home in Harvard. Thursday Socials The Thursday night socials are being held at Wally's Oasis every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. On The Mend Mrs. Harry Gannon, who has been in the Woodstock hospital for severkl weeks, is now at home and feeling much better. Cleveland Wade is still at Downey hospital. It is six weeks since he went in for treatment. He is feeling a little better but his progress is slow. Chipper Cynoiwa underwent a seventh skin graft on Friday. His two-day visit at home for Thanksgiving agreed so well with him, he gained a pound and a half. Friends and neighbors paid him a visit and he enjoyed their company very much. (Here and There Tina Morrison entertained the following - guests on Wednesday afternoon, Josephine Dosch, Jessie and Olive Corbett and Lil Gibson. A light luncheon of shrimp salad, cake and coffee was served. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Para erfjoyed the company of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gerlach and two boys of Barrington on Saturday and Sunday. A very happy birthday to ail of you, and many happy returns of the day. Lilymoor Pfc. Ed Schumacher of the Marines, formerly of Lilymoor, is home on leave from Japan. He has ten more months to serve and at present is stationed at the Philadelphia Navy yard. All his friends of Lilymoor and Lakemoor are very happy to see him. Mrs. Mary Bitterman celebrated her birthday on Saturday, Dec. 3, with a family party at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lois Schiavone, and family. Fred and Val Fradinardo entertained* guests from Wauconda on Saturday. The group attended the McHenry Choral club concert that evening and later enjoyed pizza made by Val's mother, Mrs. Ferrara.
