However, it's too bad that we must also have vandalism in the community. Over this last weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Morrison and the Misses Jessie and Olive Corbett found about two dozen lights were missing from their outdoor trees. The village has not had anything like this happen in & previous years and let us all do * our best in stopping this rude trick. Village News The automobile vehicle stickers and dog tags „will be on sale starting Jan. 1, 1966. About Jan. 15, the mail system through Lakemoor will be changed from Route 5 to house numbers and names of streets. A reminder to keep your cars off the road for snow plows to get through in case of a snowstorm. The president again requests that dogs be tied or fenced in. Thjis week Ghuckie Zabroski has •been bitten by a dog. If owners of dogs running loose do not correct this, drastic ' measures will have to be taken. There have been several children bitten by dogs in the last few months. . Ladles League The Lily Lake Ladies League held their annual Christmas dinner at the Vogue. A very fine dinner of fried chicken with many trimmings was enjoyed by the members, their husbands and friends. After the dinner, the party moved to the fire department community house for a grab-bag, cards and bynco, with table pri2es. Cake and coffee was served by the officers, later in the evening. Girl Scouts The training course for. Girl Scout 'leaders was completed on Dec. 7. There will be one more meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 4, to brush up on games and songs. The Girl Scouts will have a Christmas party at their Dec. 22 meeting. After the meeting the leaders and girls will go caroling through the village. P.TA The Lily Lake P.T.A. will hold a Christmas party for ttfe children in the school at Lilymoor on' Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 1:30 p.m. Parents are "invited and donations of cookies will be appreciated. Thursday Socials The Thursday night socials are beiiig held at Wally's Oasis every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Everyone is-welcome to attend. Brownies The Brownies will have t'heir Christmas party at their Dec. 20 meeting. They will enjoy cookies, ice cream and a grab-bag. There will not be any meeting of. the Brownies during the holidays. Pat Morrison, the Brownie leader, will welcome Mrs. Frank McHenty Bible Church Final rehearsals for. the Christmas program is to be held on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. at the Masonic hall. The Christmas program will be held on Friday, Dec. 23, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, the B.C. Teens will have a rehearsal and after rehearsal will trim the tree and have refreshments. On Sunday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m., the B.C. 'Teens will be out singing Christmas carols. Lowell avenue, Skokie, and would appreciate hearing from friends and neighbors. Henry Parratorre, Jr., was very ill for a few days last week and is still recuperating. Jimmy Marsh underwent surgery at Memorial hospital • on Thursday, Dec. 8, and is now at home. A correction -- It was Harry Gannon and not Mrs. Gartnon Who has been ill for several weeks at Memorial hospital and is now recuperating at home. Donna Brown, Bernice Tushkowski. Bill Willard, Jean and Jane Blake, Mary Ann SwsRski, Sally Lubke, Roberta Hollenbach, Kathleen Polinski and Elizabeth Kosup. Mac and Jen McDermott spent a day at Champaign to see the intercollegiate wrestling practice matches. Sonny, their son, was wrestling that day and suffered a fractured toe. • Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wade enjoyed the company of Lawrence Ayers, Arlene's young brother. Mrs. Myron Morrison of Danville will be spending a few days at the home of Mr: and Mrs. Claude McDermott. Speedy Recovery | A speedy recovery is wished for the following people.
