Sarge Duttko, chairman of the Kiwanis project for the boys and girls activities, is. making arrangements with the newly organized McHenry Kiwanis club to have some additional score keepers and instructors to assist him in this event. It is requested that all children that want to bowl in this activity please be on time to start on Saturdays at 9 a.m. for reasons that it delays others and handicaps the treasurer, Art Schaett- $en, of the Wonder Lake Kiwanis club to make his collections. Larkin, 460; I* THE GREAT OUTDOORS By Jack Walsh Ice fishing has , dropped ^ off considerably in Meyer's Bay. Hardly anyone is- catching bluegills and, when they do, they are few and far between. A few northerns have, been caught but they aren't as thick as they were last year and the limit has been reduced to one pike a day. Two old timers caught five pike, all in the same hole, within three days. Nobody else could even get a tip-up. Well, we imagine that a lot of you received some good hunting and fishing equipment for Christmas and since it's getting pretty close to 1956, it might pay to make some resolutions On how you are going to use your new equipment. We hear that the limit has been taken off perch in Lake Geneva and Lake Mendota in Madison. There were a couple hundred shacks on L&ke Geneva Monday and we hear that quite a few fish are being caught there. We haven't heard too much about Lake Mendota, but if the perch are biting like they did last summer it ought to be pretty good fishing through the ice.
