Quite a few people from here attended the music festival at Woodstock high school last Monday night, in which choral groups from McHenry county, \ high schools participated. It was impressive to see this large group of students in their colorful robes and hearing the .blinding of some 850 voices in song.. It "rontly enioyed by the large crowd in attendance. Mis. Tillie May entertained the birthday club at her home on Tuesday afternoon. Prizes in cards went to Mrs. Susie Rudolph, Mrs.. Lizzie Engels, Mrs. Charles Gillespie and Mrs. Mary Nimsgern. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanders, Mrs. Zelda Westman and daughter of Woodstock and Mrs. Alice Wagner returned from a trip to Montana on Tuesday. County Man Killed Cn Crash Near Harvard Frank Rippie, 44, of Harvard, was fatally injured early on the mornirig of Saturday, March 10, when his car went out of control and crashed into a pole before taking down 100 feet of fencing and travelling through a field near Rt. 14, two miles north of Harvard. Rippie was unconscious and suffering from the loss of blood when found by deputy sheriffs. He was alive when removed from the wreckage but died soon afterward at Harvard hospital. Death Was attributed to a skull fracfure and crushing chest injuries. FELLOWSHIP MEETING The Inland Lakes Youth Fellowship will hold a meeting on Saturday March 17 at the Lilymoor 'school at 8 o'clock, using as its theme, "Are Missions Today Keeping Pace With the World?" A missionary film, "To Every Creature," showing how the missions are trying to keep pace with the development of the world today, will be shown and there will be special music by the choir of the Wonder Lako Bible church. Marcia Kleve Named Homemaker Of Stale Illinois' homemaker of tomorrow is Marcia Kleve of Chicago. The 17-year-old red-haired student from Taft high school received the highest score in a written homemaking examination taken by 14,389 graduating senior girls in 466 of Ulihois' schools. She will receive a $1,500 educational scholarship to the college of her choice. She and her school advisor will tour Washington, D.C., colonial Williamsburg, Va., and Philadelphia April 8-12. Marcia will also be a candidate for the $5,000. scholarship award which will be made at the nationally televisional American Table banqiiet April 12 in Philadelphia. Barbara Hanson was the McHenry" homemaking winner.
