All counties in Illinois are in the commercial area. There has been some confusion about the rate to noncooperators as related to the rate for cooperators -- those farmers who comply with theii corn acreage allotments. The rate of support on corn whicl? is produced on farms in compliance with their acreage allotments will be a minimum national average of $1.50 per bushel, but not less than 82V<> per cent of parity at the beginning of the 1956-57 marketing year, next Oct. 1. The national average rate of support on corn which is produced on farms not in compliance with the farm acreage allotments is $1,25 a bushel, but not less than 70 per cent bf parity at the beginning of the marketing year. The rate of support to noncooperators will be about fivesixths, or 83.3 per cent of the local rate to cooperators. This means that there will hot always be the same difference in cents between the local rates for cooperators and non-cooperators, since the $1.50 and $1.25 rates are national averages. History keeps repeating itself -- and every time this happens the price goes up.
