Entertains In Yard •Mr. and .Mrs. Gerald Hettermann entertained his workers and their families at an outdoor chicken dinner in their yard last Monday evening. Joining in on the fun were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Freund and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bill May and sons, Mrs. Catherine Freund and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dehn and family. ^ Vacation Ends Mrs. Agnes Crowley and daughter, Mary Elizabeth, returned to the big city after spending an enjoyable two-week vacation at the home - of her sister and husband, Robert arid Laura Crowley, at. their home in Sunnyside Beach. Miss Violet Crowley and Bill Mclrinis, who also have; been on ^acation at their respective Tomes oh the river, h&lped to add a little "zip" to the climax of the two weeks. A picnic was enjoyed by all, including Mrs. Ernest Prussing, besides the boat rides with Bill acting as skipper. One of the most exciting times was the day Mary Elizabeth caught twenty-nine fish. Present Were her sister, Mrs. Rollo Smith, and family, her brother, the Robert Crowley, family, Chesj ter Crowley, Mrs. Helen Hettermann, the Walter Wiehergs and , Bill Mclnnes. It honored Bill and , Vi for a^"Happy Birthday 2 B" ; party. . ! Outing Planning The officers and members of St. Agatha's Court, No. 777, is planning an outing to Holy Hill on Aug. 22. The ladies plan on ' leaving at 9 o'clock in the morning and will make the trip by bus. Anyone wishing to make this irip is asked to call either Virfcnia Pitzen at 1274-M or Mari- , lyn Miller at 1293-R on or before Aug. 8. Please call as soon as possible. Returns to Florida Mrs. Jack Keenan, Betty Lou and Tom, left last Sunday afternoon for Florida after spending five weeks here visiting Mrs. Helen Hettermann. Mrs. Hetterjnann and Mr. and Mrs. John «erdrich of McHenry accompanied the Keenans as far as the . Midway airport in Chicago. In California Father Everett Hiller flew to California last" week for a tenday vacation. Fr. Hiller is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hiller and is at St. Joseph's parish in Elgin. Hospitalized Get'well wishes are extended to Mildred Hiller, who underwent surgery at Grant hospital in Chicago last week. Around the Town Mrs. Joe Smith spent two days last week in Chicago, where she , visited her sister and aunt. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crowley . entertained her sister and hus- -banri. the Walter Jacks, formerly Cn McCullom Lake, over last weekend.* - ; Mr. arid Mrs. "Si" Meyers and son, Jimmy, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Meyers and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Freund were at Wrigjey Field last week to witness the Cub- Dodger game. The Gerald Wakitsches entertained her sister and family from Michigan over last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith spent last weekend in Rockford, where they celebrated the seventh birthday of their granddaughter, Cindy. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dehn • and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Freund of McHenry spent last weekend in Dickeryville, Iowa. The children were in the capable ^ands of their grandparents. ^ A special birthday celebration took place last Sunday afteri noon at the summer home of Mr. and Mrs. O.
