Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to Marie Fitzpatrick on the loss of her father, Tom Fitzpatrick, who passed away at his home on Wednesday. Funeral services were held at St. Peter's church on Saturday morning. Members of her club had' a Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Arthur Kattner, with Mrs. Eldred Johnson as hostess, on Monday night. A delicious turkey dinner with all tne trimmings was served. The club will meet next at the home of Mrs. George May in January. All the little folks, and even some of the grown-ups, were all excited on Sunday afternooh as Santa Claus came to town. The -Lotus Country Woman's club of Spring Grove met at the home of Mrs. Jacob Miller in Dec. 5, with fifteen members in attendance. Roll call was "A Favorite Painting and the Artist?'. Plans vfor the Christmas party were discussed and it was voted to send five dollars to the Elgin State hospital. Mrs. Alice VanEvery of Richmond gave a very interesting book "review of Dale Evan's book, "The Answer is God," written in cooperation with Elise Miller Davis. After the "Club Collect" was read delicious refreshments were served.
