D. of A. card tournament was held last Thursday evening, with Mrs. Wilfred Freund acting as chairman. Pinochle prizes went to Mrs. Emma Freund, Theresa Steffair, Ann Rodenkirch, Delia Miller, Anna Leonnetti and Helen Heuserj canasta,. Van Diedrich, Lillian Stoffel, and Rose Kennebeck. The fifth and last party in the tournament is planned for April 4. This will be a combined business and social meeting. Community Club Plans Important Meeting The next meeting of the Johnsburg Community club will be held Monday, April 1, at 8:15 o'clock at Memorial hall. Due to some important points of order, all members are urged to attend. Refreshments will be served by the following committee: Fred Huemarin, chairman; Hay proh, co-chairman; William Hay, Henry Haa'ckstadt, Joseph Himpelman, Leo Hiller, Norbert Hiller and Edward Huff. Diane Marie Heinz Baptised Recently Diane Marie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto E. Heinz, Jr., of Hunterville Park, was christened March 17 at St. Patrick's church by Rev. E .C. Coakley. The godparents were Mrs. Mary Lou Miller and Lawrence Freund. Following the cerenlony, a buffet supper was served to the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wieder, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Heinz, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Freund, Dr. and Mrs. Frank Sek, and Mr. ancPMrs. Harold Toussaint. The baby has a sister, Barbara 6 ,and.brother, Richard, 4. Mclienry county chapter of the Illinois Association for the Crippled, who will show a film about the work being done by the organization. Brown of Wauconda, who have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary and enjoyed a trtp to Florida, all within the past three months. Show Slides At Home Arid School Meeting St. Mary's Home and School association will meet Wednesday, April 3, at 3:15 o'clock in the school hall, at which time Fr. Nilges will show slides of the Mass. It promises to be a very interesting meeting and all members are urgd to attend. Arigeline Skiko; Engaged To Wed Mr. and Mrs. John Ciechon of Lilymoor announce the engagement of their niece, Miss Angeline Sitko, to Mrs. James A. Gleason. Past Oracles Meet At Jbhrtsbur^ Home The Past Oracles of Fox River Valley Camp, No. 3251, of McHenry will entertain the county oracles at the home of Mrs. George H. Johnson on Main street on April 2. A pot-luck luncheon will be served at 12:30 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Alfons Adams attended the third annual convention and banquet of the Northern mini Archery association, held in Aurora Sunday. Mrs. Clara Campbell of Elmhurst was a McHenry visitor Sunday. Mrs. Mary Buch spent Friday and Saturday with Chicago relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weber spent a few days the past week with their son, Jack, at Ft. Knox, Ky. His wife and little son, Artie, who have been with him there, returned home to spend some time with her parents, the Arthur Hays at Wonder Lake and in the Weber home before joining their husband and father at Ft. Web- THE JOHN J. BROWNS The former Anna Margaret Stilling and John J. Brown weremarried in 1967 at St. John's Catholic church, Johnsburg, by the Rev. Fr. Henry Mehring. Their attendants were Mayme Stilling Justen, Helen Schmidt Hettermann, Henry J. Stilling and Mathias J. Brown. The latter is now deceased. The Browns were blessed with three children, Elmer J. Brown, LaVerne, now Mrs. Robert J. Obenauf of Mundelein, and Eveljrri, now Mrs. Reginald Fowles. Mr. and Mrs. Brown are both in good health and enjoying their new home at Wauconda. They are kept young in spirit by the activities of their thirteen grandchildren. DIVORCES GRANTED Marie Larson of McHenry was granted a divorce from Raymond D. Larson.
