Uhles, Bil Radisch and Len Bottari complete the list of board members for the coming year. Our Jtieartiest congratulations to the new officers and best wishes for a successful year. Board Meeting On Tuesday, April 16, the LPPOA board of .directors met at the Krater home. The new officers were elected and Frank Parisi, Bud Uttieh and Bill RadfSelywere appointed as co-ordinatihg committee for the community house. We have been asked by the board to remind the people that they would like to have the community house assessment money paid in as soon as possible. Your block captains will be around to see you in the near future. Also if you are delinquent in last year's dues--please, please get this paid. The books are to be turned over to the new treasurer by May 1 and they would like to balance the books before this time. The board is accepting bids for scavenger service and will try to get the best service for the east money. We'll have more details on this later. Spring Dance The parade of the Gay Nineties is ready to go. We hear by the grapevine, that the first rehearsal was a success, so even if you don't care to dance, this is a must to see! If you haven't got your tickets yet, contact your block captain, one of the board members or get them at the corner store. We'd like to remind you that the proceeds from the dance will go to the community house fund. the fifty some children who participated in the hunt, there were about .thirty 'cheering parents. (Don't know who enjoyed the outing more--daddy or Jr.) At the same tiijie the young'uns were dashing about at the west beach about fifty of the young school-agers were having a gay time at the east beach finding the eggs left there for them. The bunny managed to find more difficult places to hide their eggs and so it was a real challange. The mothers cooperated very well and consequently over 500 eggs were donated. Guess what we'll all be eating this week! Anyone have any prize receipes for creamed eggs? Easter Bunny News Bright and early Sunday morning there was a mad scramble of little, gremlins at the west beach hunting the gaily colored Easter eggs that the bunny had left. Little pigmies darted about without any urging uncovering their treasures in the sand, under the shrubs, and in the grass. More than 250 eggs were left at each of the beaches and the lucky ones who found the eggs marked with a large X received prizes. Besides Complaint Dept. Parents of teen-age boys owing BB guns had better check to make sure it isn't their son who has been using the light-bulbs at the entrances for target practice. This is a serious and a costly one. We are all aware that the LPPOA budget is small and these unnecessary expenses keep the money from going toward some worthwhile project. The entrance areas are going to be watched and any culprits caught will be prosecuted. And while we're at it we might also make mention of the signs at the beaches. The one sign at the west beach has been damaged beyond repair.' Two boys were also seen releasing a boat to drift out into the lake. These misdemeanors must stop or some parents are going to be surprised with bills! • Surprise „ Monday evening, Marge Casey arrfved at the Roger's home witlv scissors and scotch tape in hand ready to make decorations for the coming Spring dance. In answer to her knock, the door opened with a hearty greeting from within of "Surprise, surprise!" Marge was misinformed it seems, the actual reason for the meeting was a pink and blue shower with Marge as guest of honor. The guests played games and munched on delicious tid-bits provided by the hostess. Later, a beautiful array "of gifts was brought out. Marge, ably assisted by her little two year old daughter, Cindy, opened the boxes and passed the tiny contents around for all the guestis to admire. / . After the gift opening, the ladies played some exciting games of bunco with Dorothy Meineke and Jetta Gleeson carrying off the top two prizes and Rose Kluk winning the booby prize. Dolores served delicious, coffee, jello salad and cake to Dorothy Meineke, Ann Borovec, Carol Kizei-, Rose Kluk, Lillian Carber, Jetta Gleeson, Louise McEnery, and of course, the honored guest, Marge Casey.
