Mrs. Ethel Van Kanegon and son, Jim, have gone to New York to visit relatives, after which Jim will go to Dover, Dela., to resume service in the Armed Forces. Bob Biggers has also gone back to camp! Dr. S. L. Ruggero has just completed a ten-week course on surgical technique, with practice at the Cook county graduate school of medicine. Christ The Ring The Altar and Rosary sodality will have a pot-luck dinner on Thursday, June 6, at the home of Raymond Mendyk in Indian Ridge at 7 20 pm. All the ladies of the sodality are asked to bring * their favorite dish, be it meat, salad, potatdes, cake or buns. Guests of the members are always welcome and promise an enjoyable evening. Wall Eyed Pike The Chamber of Commerce program for re-stocking the lake with fish got under way Friday, May 24, when 200,000 wall-eyed pike from the U.S. Hatchery at Spring Grove, were put into the lake at " all the ^beaches. These fish, which are. cost free, are about a half-inch in length. These that survive will have grown to a length of 6 inches by fall, and a normal growth rate would make them an estimated 1% pounds in three years. Meanwhile, the money collected for the purchase of larger fish remains in escrow pendingf-delivery.
