Raske of Rt. 1, Ringwood was involved in an accident the last of the week'which he said was caused when his car was forced into a guard rail on the Johnsburg blacktop road. According to his report to authorities, the other auto entered the highway from a side road west of Johnsburg and also hit tl.e guard rail but left the scene of the accident. FAMILY PICNlC The family picnic of the Community Methodist church will be held at the Harry Hans farm Sunday, June 23. There will be no services at the church that date, but an outdoor worship rite will be held at 11 o'clock at the picnic grounds. Members are asked to attend with their families, bringing picnic lunches. Coffee and ice cream will be furnished on the grounds. However, there were two other fires during the past week. At the Borchardt home on the blacktop road leading to Pistakee Bay, flames in the fireplace crept into the cracks of a nearby wall, causing it to burn. Members of Station 2, at Johnsburg, ex tinguished a fire in a boat which docked at the pier. The craft was badly damaged. CHECK FARMS FOR COMPLIANCE WITH ASC REQUIREMENTS Checking of county farms to determine compliance with acreage allotments and soil bank agreements and contracts is now under way in all townships, according to Bert Bridgs, chairman of the ASC committee. - Almost all fa^ns'must be visited by representatives of the ASC office to make either an accurate determination or an estimate of acreage in certain crops.
