Mrs. W. Barber and Mrs. F. Arsenau are the leader And co-leader of the troop. The Brownie fly-ups were pre- . sented by their leader, Mrs. H. Ehrke, with their fly-up badges. The six girls who have graduated from Brownie troop to th§ Girl ^Scouts were Donna Gargaro, Donha Plowman, Patsy Harms, Kathy Jackson, Bonnie Pierce and Judy • Johnson. These girls then presented Mrs. Ehrke with a gift in -remembrance of their Brownie days. In addition to the Brownie flyups, ten more girls \yere invested tis - Girl Scouts, two of the t£n, Sharon and Charlotte Miller, were Anot present Monday evening. ^Charlotte Anderson, Barbara Arsenau, Roberta Lindbloom, Nancy, Gardner, Diane Miller, ,^ieH Walker, Barbara Waspi arid Marilyn were the other girls present. The candlelight ceremony held 4 for the girls was very impressive. Lois Arsenau explained the three tall ckndles in the Trefoil. The girls each gave one 'of the ten laws which were representd by tfhe ten candles in a row. 'vThen Audrey Barber spoke briefly.' about how hard the girls had worked for their pins. Audrey pinned the Scouts and they repeated the ten Girl Scout laws for her. . The parents of the girls were present and enjoyed hearing their daughters sing, "Make fTew friends," When'er You Make a Promise" and taps, with an echo chorus. Each girl had a card made like a foot. For each requirement that she completed she received one toe until the foot had ten toes. New Neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Ross Shader and their little girl Patty have moved Into Dr. Savage's house. They lived formerly in Nippersilik manor. Patty is 3 years old. er Golf club house at 8 p.m. Everyone is invited. Wedding Saturday, June 8, Miss Jean Hildebrandt of Twin Lakes became the bride of Lt. Robert Krueger of Burlington. They were married at Grace church, Richmond, by Pastor Carlson at an afternoon candlelight service. The bride, who looked radiant, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hildebrandt of Twin Lakes. She wore a dress of cupioni silk, a soft, filmy material that reminded one Of- the fairy godmother in Cinderella. Around the neckline were lace insets shaped like flowers and on each petal was an iridescent sequin with a pearl in the center. They were repeated in the skirt of the dress. The birde's mother wore a cream-colored lace dress and the groom's mother wore a blue dress. In the wedding party were Lt. Col. Philip Krueger of Ft. Riley, Kas., brother of the groom as the best man, Judith Schnurr, maid of honor, Janice Bjoerning, Virginia Gorman, Wayne Fell and George Hildebrandt, III, brother of the bride. The bridesmaids wore matching dresses of deep yellow taffeta and carried yellow rosebuds. The bride carried white stephanotis. The wedding reception was held at the McHenry. Country club, where each table had yellow crysanthemums in keeping with the yellow of the bridesmaids' dresses. After a short honeymoon trip, the bride and groom will reside in Twin Lakes for several weeks. Then they will live in Ft. Bliss, Texas, where Lt. ^Wagner will be stationed. She had £l beautiful cake, with a doll in the center, and the cake was the doll's dress. ,, Obituary - John Meisel died ot-a heart attack Sunday afternoon while fishing at a nearby lake. He was only 41 years of age, a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. He^leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Frieda Meisel; a sister: Mrs. Elizabeth Rieck; a sister, Elfrveda Meisel; a sister, Mrs. Howard Ehrke; and a brother, Kenneth Meisel, as w&ll as two nieces, Debbie and Lorrie Ehrke, all of Richmond. ; He was employed at the Gordon Manufacturing company. Funeral services were held yesterday at the Ehorn fuheral home, with Pastor Carlson -officiating. Burial was at Mound Prairie cemetery near Twin. Lakes. Various Graduations Mr. and xMrs. Harold Hammer's grandson, John McConnell,..graduated from Duke university last week. Mrs. Cora' Speaker, Miss Myra Speaker, Mr. and Mrs. Wion Speaker and Miv. and Mrs. Clint Bell attended the graduation of Karen, Mrs. Gora Speaker's granddaughter, at Crystal Lake last Friday evening.. Little Rickey Barber, 3- year-old son, of Bud and Audrey Barber, burned four of his fingers Sunday and had to be taken to the doctor. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hammer spent a Week at the home of their daughter and son-in-law in Elmhurst. Saturday, the alumni dinner dance will be held at the Hunter golf course dining room. The class of '57 will be guests of the alumni. Dinner will be served at 6 and 7 pin., two times so that the guest; can be seated comfortably. 6 Sorry to report that Saturday night four boys were in an accident near Spring Grove.
