We should and must warn our children to sta$/ off other people's property ^nless they are invited. The great loss of property and equipment in the recent fire was bads-enough, but could have been even worse if anyone had been burned or injured. Please caution your children that the farms in the highlands or anyone else's yards are not their playgrounds. A Surprise Gathering was held on the Pechous lawn last Sunday when their son James and family came in for a visit from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Gathered for the reunion were the Richard Freunds, the Floyd Johnsons, the Roger Pechous family. the Danny Greens, and Mrs. Ron Kafka of Berwyn. The whole family send their greetings to Jack Pechous in Hawaii who gets this paper re PHCA Dues It will soon be time to collect dues for the association again. Even though the dues are small some will complain and ask what they have received for these past years for their dues. First: We now have a community center which we didn't have a year ago. With , everyone's help and the money in the treasury it may soon look like a real center we can all be proud of. Second: We all (including non members) save three dollars a year on the garbage pickup reduction attained by association officers. Third: We have scouting and youth groups for all ages with leaders and a place for them to meet. Fourth: We have a well kept beach and a committee that is working to improve it and a second beach well under way. Fifth: we have officers deputies, councilmen, and many committees that are working constantly to improve the community and make it a better place to live. So surely these benefits plus others are well worth the-five dollars a year we are asked to pay. Don't you think? Sure, we might do more. We hope to. -But these projects take time and cooperation as well as money. I>Tote: Because they were interested in other communities' improvements this reporter's family recently visited a subdivision Take It Easy • Take A Cab! When the weather's bad .
