They appreciate the confidence and trust placed in them by you, the chapter members, and I know they will do everything in their power to make this year and the years ahead what you would want them to be -- successful Our worthy matron, Gretrude Silva, has announced a pot-luck dinner for our next meeting on Nov. 26, to be served at 6 o'clock. The officers are to bring meat loaf and the other members of the chapter the rest of the food -- anything of your choosing. Members of your families are invited. They can stay downstairs and enjoy themselves while we have our stated meeting, which I am sure will be a short one. So won't you all try to join us on this occasion since this is Gertrude's and Larry's last meeting of the year? It will also give us all a chance to get better acquainted. I am most grateful for the trust you placed in me by choosing me as your conductress. I'm sure Anita Hansen feels the same Way I do for your having chosen her as our associate conductress. Mr. Ratzloff/ together with his family, has served two terms..of four years each in the steamy heat and dense forest areas of the Toma country, in a city called Macenta, under the Christian and Missionary Alliance Mission. Missionaries entered this area of 6,000 square miles, with g population of 98,000, in 1930. The' intense heat and high humidity ; caused the missionaries to fall irt health and they were forced to' leave after a stay of only a few months. However, they left behind a native convert, named "Cpva", who carried on a witness of the gospel for fourteen years. When Mr. and Mrs: Ratzloff arrived in 1947, a small nucleus of people welcomed them with insignificant; items the previous missionaries had inadvertently left. These natives had saved such items as safety pins and raw poultry eggs in the hope of presenting them, to white missionaries who might return.
