It was attended by just a handful of members; perhaps the very cold weather kept the" majority away. Plans were made for the installation of new officers which takes place Jan. 18 at Club Lilymoor. Earel Belford was appointed chairman of the program. A buffet lunch will be served at no charge to the members. Everyone is urged to attend thq intsallation and welcome in the new officers. Lake Meeting In regards to the meeting in Lakemoor attended by Maurice Haines and Vernon Ehredt they were told by the representative of the State Conservation Dept. that nothing could be done about Lily Lake without a very generous contribution from the residents of the total .area surrounding the lake. In order to put the lake in condition to hold and provide bigger and better fish it would cost thousands of dollars. Lilymoor Bible Church The Bible church holds its meetings in the little white school house on Route 120 and (the county road) Center avenue. Sunday school is held at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship is at 11 a.m. Evening Worship is held at 7:30. TTie Sunday evening service is held at the Lake Region Bible church. A mid-week prayer service is held in the pastor's home. Pastor Benton has been with the Lilymoor Bible church since May. He has a wife and four children. Pastor Benton would like it made known that anyone who has no church home is welcome at the little school house. Christmas Parties Plans are under way for the party at the Lilymoor Bible church. This is, the fourth addition to the family incidentally all boys. Charlotte Pifien on the death of her grandfather, William Slanders, resident of , Cirksville, Mo. Mr. Sanders was the victim of a tractor accident. He .was 69 years old. Please accept our condolences in your sadness. Ice Warning It was suggested that a paragraph be written as a warning to children in regards to the ice on the lakes. Parents please don't give your children permission to play on the lake unless you know for sure the ice is safe enough to hold them. You probably have read or heard of the drowning of the two Beamen children, formerly of Lakemoor, because of thin ice. Every year we hear of these tragedies because children don't think about dangers and it should be up to the parents to see that their children are not allowed on the ice to soon. Sympathy Sympathy was extended to General News Mr. and* Mrs. E. Belford and children spent Thanksgiving day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Thompson and family at Clarendon Hills. The thing that made the day a little different was the fact that Norman Jr. was celebrating his fifth birthday, also attending was grandma, Mrs. Robert Thompson from Galva, 111.
