The gift exchange, with Mrs. Winkleman as chairman, was a lot of fun too. The next meeting on Jan. will be especially interesting because of the cooking demonstration to be given by the Northern Illinois Gas company. More details on this will be forthcoming. Thuryiay, December 19, 1957 Valley View Christmas Party Valley View neighborhood held its Christmas party at the Legion home Wednesday afternoon of last week, with approximately sixty-five adult Girl Scout members in ' attendance. The nine towns comprising the neighborwere represented. . McHenry ladies served as hostesses, the committee chairman being Mrs. Frank Gans. A delicious pot-luck luncheon was served in an attractively decorated room. Neighborhood chairman Mrs. Frank Gregory opened the program by introducing the two guests of honor. Miss Mary Anne Beebe of Sybaquay council headquarters in Elgin, and Mrs. R. D. Lenth, chairman representing the northern district of Sybaquay. There was a Christmas gift exchange and the singing of carols led by Miss Beebe. Last week's party was the first neighborhood Christmas gathering since the new Sybaquay council was formed and was hailed as a huge success by those who attended. A meeting of the day camp committee for the neighborhood was held Dec. 1. Mrs. Nick Tabor of McCullom Lake was chairman, assisted by Mrs. > Frank Gans, Mrs. Edward Oleyar, Mrs. M. Schlick, Mrs. Wallace Sinclair, Mrs. Maurice Granger and Mrs. George Weisenberger. Mrs. Granger has again been named director of the day camp by unanimous vote of the committee. Choral Club Xmas Party Members of the McHenry Choral club gathered at the Norbert Mauch home last Monday evening to enjoy their annual Christmas party. A large portion of the evening was devoted to listening to a recording of their recent holiday program, after which a buffet lunch was served and a gift exchange Enjoyed. Lakemoor Girl Wed Saturday Miss Jean Weingard® of Lakemoor became the bride of Mr. David Jacobson of Island Lake in a civil ceremony which took place on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 14, in Waukegan. Witnessing the affair were the 'bride's sistef, Audrey Weingard, and the groom's brother, Ralph Jacobson. The couple left immediately after the ceremony for their new home in Belleville, 111. A surprise bridal shower was held last Tuesday, Dec. 10, to honor Miss Weingard. The .shower was held in the home of Joyce and Mrs. Maher, with both ladies acting as hostesses at the affair. Several friends of the bride were there to wish her well. CHRISTMAS PROGRAM OF WOMAN'S CLUB FESTIVE AFFAIR Last minute plans for the Woman's club Christmas party addled the Crystal Choralieres with their "Holidays" musical skit put on by the members of the Crystal Lake Woman's club. Mrs. Hugh Locker, director, wrote the words and music of this humorous playlet which has been given for the P.T.A. Of St. Mary's in McHenry. There were other presentations in the McHenry area and also at Grayslake. The sixteen members of the group, who call themselves the Choralieres, meet every Monday morning.
