L. Kraft Jade Ring award fon Dec. 18, in recognition of his outstanding service to the company. The presentation' was made at the laboratories' annual" Christmas party, held at AmVets hall in Wheeling. W. < J. Mahan, who made the presentation, pointed out that Mr. Uttich was being cited for developing a process that greatly improved one of the company's products, and for putting in time and effort far beyond the norma] duties of his job in seeing it through to a successful conclusion. - Mr. Uttich lives at 501 Shore •rive, Lakeland Park,' McHenry. He received his B. S. in ph^irfical Engineering from "the Unversity of Illinois, in 1944. The membership dinner will be held on Feb. 8. Rehabilitation chairman Ruth Mrachek informed us tHat there will be no Christmas party at Downey. She will take the tray favors and candy bars to the hospital in time for Christmas. Ten year honor guard pins were presented to Carrie Justen and Ida Greene by president Lauretta Homo. • Rose Lee, Julia Hecht and Doris Walker received birthday greetings. A get well card was sent to Eva Blake and congratulations went to Bernice Peterson on the birth of a baby girl. The attendance prize Was won by Mary Einspar. Marie Heinz and Helen Dobyns won door prizes.,The members sang Christmas carols and Santa Claus gave out the grab bag gifts' Cookies, ice cream and coffee^were served by Gladys Sbucie and her committee. Next meeting will be on Jan* 20, 1958.
